It’s
a known and established fact that Indian Women have always
been respected and they enjoy a very high position in the
society because of their honest and pure motherhood, devotion
for their family with full integrity and responsibility as
a home-maker and on top of that the sacrifice of their own
self for the betterment of others. Because of this nature
they have always been adored and remembered.
History is full of live examples of such incidences where
Indian Women have created legend and acts for which they will
always be remembered. The live stories of Chittaurgarh is
famous for the brevity of Sati and is a burning example of
the poweress of Sati. One would have read many stories of
brave performances, but when we start to describe the power,
strength, belief, faith and confidence of Sati Dadi ji, our
neck bows down with deep regards and respect.
We have read about MahaSati Anusuiya, who converted Lord Brahma,
Lord Vishnu and Lord Shankar into small children with her
power and strength. We also know about Sati Savitri who because
of her devotion and meditation got her husband, “Saty`avan”
alive and “Yamraj” had to bow down to her wishes. Likewise
there are umpteen number of examples where Indian Women have
shown exemplary performances and which is being told and narrated
by Grandmas to their grandchildren as fairy tales, but these
are not mere stories but true fact.
We are about to take you to one of the most unique incident
and a story that never happened in the entire history of mankind
and perhaps there may not be an occasion for this story being
repeated again.
The elders of Bajaj’s & Bhariya’s [Bansal Gotra] used
to reside in Siswal town, Hisar District in the State of Punjab.
The eldest person was “Balchand ji”. He was a very honest
and holy minded person. His wife was Purni Devi who was a
very devoted lady. They had four children – two sons “Jokhiram
ji” and “Bholanath ji”and two daughters “Tida” and “Gela”.
The elder son Jokhiram ji used to look after the household
affairs and the younger one used to take cows for feeding
in the Forest on a daily basis. All brothers and sisters used
to love each other very much.
On a very unfortunate day, the unexpected had to happen !!
Bholanath ji all of a sudden expired while feeding the cows
in the forest. Both sisters and others in the family got very
disturbed on hearing the news of his sudden and unexpected
death. Both the sisters just could not bear this news and
got very desperate and they informed everyone in the society
that they will give their lives along with their dead brother.
Everyone just failed to move them from their determination
and finally they had to agree that the sisters will give their
lives along with their dead brother and sit on the pyre.
Every one went to the spot where Bholaram ji left his body
and they set up the wooden blocks and pyre. Both sisters took
their bother’s head on their lap and sat on the pyre. The
scene was worth noticing. Both sisters were very happy sitting
along with their bother and their faces were illuminated with
lights, which was simply unbelievable. Then everybody was
standing with folding hands and thereafter everybody standing
there saw the most unbelievable scene. With the energy within
themselves both sister were just sparking with lights and
then fire was produced all by itself and the pyre started
burning and then from all the four corners every body started
saying JAI !! Jai !!, within seconds it was seen that the
bodies of both sister converted into milk and then everything
was gone.
In their memory a beautiful “Mand” was prepared by the people
and lacs and lacs of devtotees started coming there for worshipping.
Shri Sati Dadi ji keeps an eye on all the devotees and bhaktajans
and provides protection in all respect. Once upon a time,
Shri Syanaram ji and Shri Mohanram ji, the elders of
Bajajs – Bhariyas, were carrying salt on the back of Camel
from Bhiwani. On there way, they were stopped by the state
officers and enquired what they were carrying on the back
of Camel? Seeing the officers and on their enquiry both brothers
were frightened and they remembered Shri Sati Dadiji and they
heard an inside voice saying that you may tell the officers
that the bags contain Sugar and not salt. Accordingly, both
brothers told the officers that the bags contain sugar. When
the officers inspected, they found that the bags were actually
containing sugar, hence they left both brothers without saying
anything further. Henceforth the following saying became famous:
'Syana
– Mohan ki Dhyayi manai
Loon ki Chini dhikhai meri mai'
Around
Year 1655, in the State of Punjab because of the terror of Muslims
all Bajaj – Bhartiyas migrated to Fatehpur Shekhawati. Those
elders who made Fatehpur their native place were Basantlal ji
Bajaj, his father was Mukundlal ji Bajaj. The second brother’s
name was Jiwraj ji and his father was Pitharam ji and the third
brother’s name was Mansingh ji Bhartiya. In spite of every one
being settled in Fatehpur, for worshipping and for all religious
and good work and for Bhadav Amasya they had to go all the way
to Siswal to get the blessings of Shri Sati Dadi ji. The route
from Fatehpur to Siswal was very tiresome and everyone had to
face lots of trouble. Hence, all the devotees prayed to Shri
Sati Dadi ji that if Shri Sati Dadi ji accept the request of
all devotees and come to Fatehpur, then all the devotees will
be free from the trouble of coming from Fatehpur to Siswal every
time. Shri Sati Dadi ji accepeted the request and directed the
devotees that they may lift 6 bricks from the Mand and that
the bricks should not be kept elsewhere in the route but taken
straight to Fatehpur. The devotees readily and happily took
out 6 bricks and carried on their head to Fatehpur. But while
traveling on their way, they felt the pressure and wanted to
go to toiled and forgetfully kept the bricks in the forest of
“Dhandhan” and got rid of their pressure. Thereafter when they
tried to lift the bricks again it was impossible for them to
move the bricks, what to talk about lifting them. The bricks
became so solid that they applied their full energy but could
not even move the bricks. Suddenly they remembered the direction
of Shri Sati Dadi ji that they were not supposed to keep the
bricks any where during their way to Fatehpur. Hence, this gave
birth to the holy town Dhandhan and it has since then become
“Dhandhan Dham” and every year lacs and lacs of devotees go
to Dhandhan to get the blessings of Shri Sati Dadi ji on different
occasions and to get their wishes fulfilled.
“Jai
Jai Shri Dhandhan Sati, Vinati karun kar jor
Bhul chama sab kijiyo, Dekh Bhagat ki or !! ”
Jai Dadi ki !!
